The state of Massachusetts is changing its insurance exam testing provider from Prometric to Pearson VUE, effective 7/22/2026. ExamFX courses and exams will be restructured to match the new provider’s outlines and exam format.
Here's what learners in MA need to know:
- Scheduling with Pearson opens July 6 for exam appointments starting July 22. Please review the Candidate Handbook for additional information: MA Division of Insurance Candidate Handbook
- There will be a testing blackout period for all exams from July 17-21. Candidates testing on or before July 16 should continue to schedule their exams through Prometric.
- If you are taking your state exam on or after July 22, review the Addendum available in the Resource Center of your online course.
- If you are taking your state exam before or on July 16, you only need the information included in your online course (you do not need the separate Addendum).
