Required Hours
Vermont licensed producers are required to take 24 hours of CE, including 3 hours of Ethics, every 2-year license term.
Vermontβs license term is 2 years ending March 31, in odd numbered years. No carry over credits are allowed and courses cannot be taken more than once in a reporting period.
NOTE: Be sure to complete all of your CE credit hours BEFORE submitting your license renewal application.
Category Restrictions
Producers may take an approved course in any line of authority to obtain their CE credits, but it is recommended that they take courses pertaining to their license type. No more than 6 hours can be related to insurance agency management in a renewal period.
Special Training
β’ ANNUITY BEST INTEREST TRAINING β Vermont licensed producers must complete a one-time state approved 4-hour Annuity Suitability Best Interest course before selling, soliciting or negotiating any annuity products.
β’ FLOOD INSURANCE TRAINING β Vermont licensed Property/Casualty and Personal Lines producers who sell National Flood Insurance Policies are required to take a one-time 3-hour course on Flood Insurance.

β’ STUDY BY TOPIC QUIZZES β ExamFX recommends that all Study by Topic Quizzes are passed with a 70% or better.
β’ ATTESTATION β The attestation must be completed following the certificate exam.
