The Virginia Bureau of Insurance has selected a new testing provider for your state insurance exams. Beginning June 1, 2020, Prometric will be your testing provider. Prometric offers remote online testing and in-person testing center options.

Visit Prometric to schedule your Virginia Insurance exam, and be sure to review the License Information Bulletin to learn more about exam and licensing requirements.

The Virginia Insurance exam will now be administered in one part; general knowledge and state regulation information is now presented together. You will receive one overall score for the entire exam. The passing score remains at 70%.

To prepare you for the provider change, ExamFX is updating your online course on May 12, 2020 to better align with Prometric's exam.

If your exam is scheduled in May with Pearson Vue, you should continue with your current study plan.

If your exam is scheduled after June 1, we recommend that you revise your study plan by reading and reviewing all new course content and retaking all chapter quizzes. There is new testable information being added to your existing course.
